
UK : Cannabis plants found in Littleborough raids

A number of cannabis plants have been found in a raid on two houses in Littleborough.
On Tuesday 27 July 2010, police from the Pennine Neighbourhood Team raided a house on Hare Hill Road and a house on Todmorden Road.
At the Hare Hill Road address 30 cannabis plants were found, with an estimated value of
10,000. An amount of amphetamine was also discovered.
Nearly
4000 in cash was found at the Todmorden Road address along with three snap bags believed to contain cannabis.
A 34-year-old man from Littleborough was arrested on suspicion of Cultivate cannabis and Possession of Class B controlled drugs and has been bailed until 27 October 2010 pending further inquiries.
Inspector Jamie Collins of Pennine Neighbourhood Team said: "Drugs are a blight on our communities and often contribute to other crimes such as burglary and robbery as addicts steal to feed their habits.
"We will continue to act on any information we receive about the sale of drugs in the area."
