POLICE who swooped on a home in Greenway Avenue, Taunton, in the early hours of Sunday seized around 100 cannabis plants following a tip off.

The occupant, Julian Lock, 40, was arrested and received a police caution after admitting cultivating the drug.

Insp Sam Williams said:
This is an excellent example of where we act on community intelligence to ensure that this remains a safe and crime free area to live in.


Drugs misuse is known to have a negative impact on the community and I
d encourage anyone who has any similar information regarding it to report it to police.


The growing of cannabis plants of any size or quantity is and always has been illegal and this should send a clear message to anyone else committing such offences that we will act on information supplied to us.
