SEALED snap bags of cannabis and a number of tablets were seized during a drugs raid in Clayton-le-Moors.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class B drugs at a house, in Pickup Street, and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

The drugs have been sent off for forensic evaluation.

Community beat manager for Clayton-le-Moors, PC Paul Pountain, said: “This warrant came as a result of information from the community.

"We would like to thank those people who have come forward.

"I urge anyone with concerns about drugs in their community to contact their neighbourhood policing team.”
